Shake Shack stack - cheeseburger with a fried portobello stuffed with cheese

When someone visits New York City, you can be about 95% sure that they will be snapping a Shake Shack burger picture for their Facebook and Instagram feeds. And yes, I am a part of that population.
The Shake Shack at Madison Square Park is the true NYC experience. You wait in a long line on a hot muggy day with fashionable people. You get to drink beer in a park with bistro lighting. Then you get to dine on a juicy burger that you’ve built up an appetite for while waiting in line. Shake Shack definitely lives up to the hype and one day I will be back here experiencing it all over again.
In N Out (instagram)
You can not visit California without going to In N Out… Per Anthony Bourdain, this is America’s only reputable fast food burger joint… Cosign to that! Gotta luv the fresh made to order burgers. My status is to go off the menu with the animal style and protein burger. Though the cheese on fries gets cold quick. Bottom line, In N Out is a must visit.

Umami Burger Hollywood (instagramed)
Let’s kick off the LA series, whaddup mami! All I have been hearing is how much Umami has the LA burger game in a choke hold. So I made it priority to hit it up and try this trending Truffle Glazed burger. Oh my…long and behold, this burger is the truth. It hurts on so many aspects of goodness and harmony….the beef, the combo of the truffle and truffle cheese, and the brioche like bun (people are still searching for its identification).
Then to add off the menu cheese tots, Singha beer, and hanging with my homies! This is a true memorable LA dining experience. The downside is they do not let you add bacon to this burger as my friend says “You are offending the chef”.
